Brit Olam: what they've published

ברית עולם
Episode 224 min6 sourcesRecorded October 12

I couldn't find a platform, a website, or a campaign account for Brit Olam. The only text in the party's own words is a list of goals on file with the Registrar of Parties.63

Who is Brit Olam?

On the ballot it's Eternal Covenant for the Redemption of Israel, letters zayin tsadi, with Ofer Lipshitz first of eleven candidates. The party is registered as Brit Olam.1234

What has Brit Olam published?

I searched in Hebrew, Arabic, and English and found no platform, website, or social media account.6

The registry entry lists nine goals. The party registered in 2006 and the page was last updated in December 2021, so the goals are at least that old. They're values, not policies.3

On filing day, the list's number two, Lev Sabo, gave Arutz 7 a short interview. I count the leader or an official spokesperson, and I couldn't confirm his role, so I'm not using it.5

What they put front and center

On every topic, the most I found is a general value from goals last updated in 2021. That's what Brit Olam has put in writing as of this recording. Every source I use is linked in the description, most of them in Hebrew, so you can read them yourself. If they publish more before October 27th, I will pin an update in the comments. Next is list number 23, Tikkun, and the full playlist is linked below. The Close Read is free to watch and to listen, and if you'd like to support it, you'll find me at Patreon at patreon.com slash thecloseread, linked in the description.
