Tikun wants to abolish political parties, elect every member of the Knesset by district, and let the Knesset appoint a prime minister who doesn't have to be a politician at all. [S4](#source-s4) [S5](#source-s5) [S7](#source-s7)

## Who is Tikun?

On the ballot this list is called "The Fix to the Electoral and Governing System," letters nun, kuf, yud, and it calls itself Tikun, "the fix." [S1](#source-s1) [S2](#source-s2) [S4](#source-s4) It's a single party registered in 2025, and the first name on its list is Dr. Moshe Salmovitz. [S1](#source-s1) [S3](#source-s3)

## What has Tikun published?

Their website, hatikun.org.il, has a page of five goals and about a dozen short articles that explain the model. [S5](#source-s5) [S16](#source-s16) There's no PDF and no dates on the pages. [S16](#source-s16) The people in their campaign materials wear masks, and the site says that's so voters judge the ideas first, and that they'll show their faces later. [S14](#source-s14)

## What does Tikun say about security and foreign policy?

I couldn't find a position on Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, the Palestinians, or the US. The one related item is procedural: peace agreements and territorial concessions would go to a public referendum. [S9](#source-s9)

## What does Tikun say about accountability for October 7?

I couldn't find a published position on October 7 accountability.

## What does Tikun say about the economy and the cost of living?

I couldn't find an economic policy. Higher productivity shows up only as an example of a target a government would be measured on. [S8](#source-s8)

## What does Tikun say about housing?

Same here. More housing supply and lower prices are listed as an example target, not a plan. [S8](#source-s8)

## What does Tikun say about religion and state?

Their fourth goal says every citizen owes a contribution to the state: mandatory service, national service, or "another significant contribution." [S5](#source-s5) Then it says the right to vote would be conditioned on meeting that duty. [S5](#source-s5) Their filing with the Registrar of Parties adds what it calls "significant benefits" for conscripts, discharged soldiers, and reservists, and "intensive support" for women who fulfilled their obligations to the state. [S3](#source-s3) Neither text names any community or sector. I couldn't find positions on Shabbat, marriage, or conversion.

## What does Tikun say about the judiciary and governance?

Here's the model, piece by piece.

First, elections. The party-list system would be replaced by personal elections: the country divided into districts of equal size by number of voters, each electing its own Knesset members, for a total of 120. [S3](#source-s3) [S5](#source-s5) [S6](#source-s6) The homepage goes further and calls for abolishing parties and putting them "outside the law." [S4](#source-s4)

Second, the government. The Knesset would appoint the prime minister and ministers based on experience and professional fit, not coalition deals. [S5](#source-s5) [S7](#source-s7) The prime minister wouldn't need to be a Knesset member or a politician. [S7](#source-s7)

Third, terms. They'd abolish fixed terms. [S4](#source-s4) Each minister would have measurable targets, and would keep the job as long as the targets are met; Knesset members could replace those who miss them. [S5](#source-s5) [S7](#source-s7)

Fourth, metrics. The government would set national targets and report progress to the public. [S8](#source-s8) Their examples include shorter waiting times in the health system, better student achievement, fewer road accidents, and less crime. [S8](#source-s8)

Fifth, referendums on major national questions, like constitutional changes, peace agreements, and territorial concessions. [S9](#source-s9)

They also want mayors and municipal department heads to meet professional requirements and work by measurable targets. [S5](#source-s5) And they want a Basic Law that would establish a constitution based on equality, liberty, and the Declaration of Independence. [S5](#source-s5)

On the courts, their FAQ lists them among the checks that would remain on a prime minister, but I didn't find a proposal to change the judiciary. [S13](#source-s13) The FAQ also says there's room for limits and full transparency on election financing. [S13](#source-s13)

## What does Tikun say about education?

I couldn't find an education policy. Student achievement is an example target. [S8](#source-s8)

## What does Tikun say about health?

No health policy. Shorter waiting times are an example target. [S8](#source-s8)

## What does Tikun say about social welfare, pensions and the elderly?

I couldn't find a published position on welfare, pensions, or the elderly.

## What does Tikun say about Arab citizens and minorities?

One article asks whether the model is dangerous for minorities. [S11](#source-s11) It argues district elections could give communities like Arabs, Druze, and Haredim representatives who know them directly. [S11](#source-s11) It says basic rights shouldn't depend on "a temporary majority," and that any model needs clear protections for basic rights. [S11](#source-s11) It doesn't spell out what those protections would be.

## What does Tikun say about immigration, absorption and the diaspora?

They propose giving world Jewry a defined representation in the Knesset, with representatives elected by Jewish communities abroad. [S12](#source-s12) Their FAQ says that representation should be "limited and defined," and that national service should be possible from abroad too. [S13](#source-s13) I couldn't find anything on immigration or absorption.

## What does Tikun say about the environment, energy and transportation?

No policy. Fewer road accidents and better public transportation are example targets. [S8](#source-s8)

## What Tikun puts front and center

The whole site is the governance model. [S4](#source-s4) [S5](#source-s5) They say that if the system changes, Tikun itself will have finished its job. [S14](#source-s14)

## What Tikun hasn't published

Tikun hasn't published positions on security, October 7, the economy, housing, education, health, welfare, immigration, or the environment. Those topics show up only as examples of what a government should be measured on.
